Wine Steles

The Wine Stele, available exclusively from Design Spray of Germany, is a minimalistic wine rack with a capacity to hold up to 18 bottles; that’s equivalent to three cases, which the slender column can pack into a really tight space.

Black Magic Vino

Very nice work from the smart folks down-under at M|A|S|H in Australia.

This limited edition wine represents the best of the Small Gully range and a wine personally developed by the mysterious Mr. Black AKA Stephen Black. The concept was to produce a simple hand written, almost home made package, as if the wine maker had scratched the details of the wine into the bottle himself.

A beautiful imported glass bottle was chosen that Mash then had laser etched. The words actually cut into the surface of the glass giving a great tactile and very raw feel. Something that screen printing could not achieve. The result was a cross between contemporary luxury and personalized roughness.

Makes me thirsty...

Hippo's Deli Murals

Hippo's Deli Wine Wall
Hippo's Deli Wine Mural
Hippo's Deli
Hippo's Deli Produce Wall
These are two of the four murals I did for Hippo's Deli & Grocery on the Riverwalk here in San Antonio.

And here's the 5' x 21' Produce graphic.

I'll post the other two as soon as they're up!

Royal Vino

Prince Charles is joining the greatest artists of the 20th century as he becomes the latest painter to feature on Chateau Mouton-Rothschild's label.

The Prince – a well-known watercolourist who delights in capturing rural scenes around the royal residences of Balmoral, Sandringham and other retreats both at home and abroad – now adds his name to a list which includes Braque, Picasso, Miró, Chagall, Henry Moore, Warhol, Francis Bacon and Balthus.

The chosen watercolour, of pine trees at Cap d'Antibes on the Cote d'Azur, was not painted specially for the chateau, but was selected personally by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild.

Read it all at Decanter.

Cheers!
