Talk about perfect timing!
Thanks to the good folks over at Consumer Reports, we can all be frugal without sacrificing taste and save 5.25 per pound on 100% Colombian Coffee!
Consumer Reports coffee experts taste tested 19 ground coffees and deemed the $6.28 per pound Eight O'Clock Coffee 100 Percent Colombian a complex blend of earthy and fruity coffee, with a bright, pleasing sourness.
Compare that to Starbucks Coffee Colombia Medium, $11.53 per pound, which didn't even place among the top regular coffees.
That's Right,
HMK
Thanks to the smart coffee loving folks at Ad Pulp.

Or you can pay a bit more and find a locally-roasted fair-trade sourced coffee, and get a good cup while simultaneously avoiding being a dick :)

Mike, I had a strange experience with this coffee. Bought a bag of whole beans and the first pot was amazing! But after that it stink, stank, stunk.
ReplyDeleteJohn and I agreed not to buy it again. We figured maybe it just went south really quick when exposed to oxygen.
I think I'll be a coffee drinking guinea pig and try again, just to be sure.
As before the first pot was great, will advise on progress of tomorrow's brew.
ReplyDeleteThe jury is in, we are buying another bag.
ReplyDeleteGood brew for the buck!
Yes indeed. Digging that fresh aroma both pre and during brew - a nice brew it is on this chilly Saturday morning.
